The application should include a letter describing his/her research interests, the laboratory they wish to join, a complete CV, a copy of their New York State license (or a clear indication how one will be obtained by the start date of the appointment), and the names of three or more scientists or physicians prepared to write letters of reference.
- The Head of Laboratory reviews the credentials and determines the candidate's suitability.
- The Head of Laboratory submits nominations to Dr. Coller who forwards the material to the Clinical Scholars Oversight Committee.
- The Committee considers the request and forwards its recommendation to Dr. Coller, who reviews it and forwards it to the President of the University for final review and approval.
